An initiative for salons and clinics to protect the professional scope of beauty and skin therapists

Programme goals

We invite beauty salons, skin therapy and aesthetic skin therapy clinics, aesthetic clinics and spas to take part in a nationwide initiative to reliably assess the safety and effectiveness of treatments and technologies used in practice. Based on real data from clinics, we want to:

• compare the effectiveness of different technologies and procedures
• help analyse difficult cases and therapies
• assess treatment safety in everyday practice
• develop standards for innovative services
• support the development of professional skills
• prepare expert materials for dialogue with public institutions on future regulation

Our goal is to bring order to the market regarding the competences of those performing high-energy treatments or treatments that break the skin – using practice-based data.

How the partnership works

1. Taking part in data collection

A participating clinic:

• documents treatment results (e.g. before/after photos, procedure descriptions)
• collects standardised client questionnaires (satisfaction, sensations, any adverse effects)
• submits data in an organised way, in line with the guidelines

Data are analysed collectively – we do not publish information identifying individual clinics without their consent.

2. Standardisation and quality

Participating clinics receive:

• ready-made treatment documentation forms
• online access to outcome and safety questionnaires for clients and practitioners
• guidelines on collecting data correctly
• support in interpreting results
• information on ways to improve safety procedures
• treatment consultancy

This makes the data comparable and analytically valuable.

3. Analysing technology effectiveness

Based on the data collected, we:

• compare results of different devices and methods
• identify the most effective treatment parameters
• analyse the frequency and nature of adverse effects
