Description
China – a broad OEM market: 7D, 12D, MPT and multi-cartridge devices

| Device type | Characteristics | Interesting features | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7D HIFU | Popular salon devices with multiple cartridges, often 1.5–13 mm. | Many cartridges, low price, often 10,000–20,000 shots per cartridge. | Variable quality; certificates and service must be verified. |
| 12D HIFU / 22D / Max | A marketing extension of “multi-line” devices. | Faster area coverage, multiple shot lines, MPT/linear cartridges. | Names like 12D are not a medical standard – often just marketing. |
| Ultraformer MPT copies / portable MPT | Devices inspired by Korean systems. | Low price, availability of parts and cartridges. | Risk of counterfeits, no full clinical documentation. |
| Combo HIFU + RF + EMS + lipolysis | Multifunctional beauty platforms. | Attractive for marketing, many functions in one device. | Often less precise than specialist devices. |
China dominates on price, availability and OEM/ODM manufacturing. Platforms such as Made-in-China and Alibaba offer a large supply of 7D/12D devices and cartridges, often at prices many times lower than Korean or American systems. It is a good market for buyers, but it requires very careful checks: certificates, real energy parameters (very often both cartridges and devices don’t deliver the promised beam or reach the expected depth), cartridge stability and quality, cooling, service, training and legal liability – and unfortunately there are big gaps here.
The operator is responsible for a treatment performed with a device that has unstable parameters! That is why it is worth making sure the devices you buy for your clinic are of high quality and technical precision, so you don’t harm your clients.
Europe is more a market of selection and distribution than of manufacturing. What matters most is MDR/CE compliance, documentation, training, local service and the importer’s liability.
In China, several companies have started their own scientific research into new treatment technologies, which they bring into production. This significantly speeds up the development of innovative solutions, and we increasingly see more attention to quality and accuracy. However, it is always worth checking a device thoroughly – especially when it is several times cheaper than others.
Very often, supposedly European brands simply assemble devices in the EU from parts imported from China and elsewhere. These devices have no innovative technical solutions or new, coherent therapeutic approach – a sign of poor-quality equipment, and we honestly advise against buying them.
Chinese devices are attractive on price, but with HIFU it is not worth buying just “by the number of D’s”. Names like 7D, 12D or 22D are mostly marketing. What matters more is real energy output, cartridge stability, focal depth, certificates, service, training and treatment safety.
